Celebrating Mother’s Day at the Atelier

In the lead-up to Mother’s Day, we organised a special afternoon for our colleagues and their mothers at the Atelier of our new Boutique in Rotterdam. A creative event full of quality time, gezelligheid and beautiful memories.

Getting creative together

During the workshop, colleagues and their mothers created jewellery together. Between designing, choosing pieces and creating, there was plenty of time to catch up, laugh together and consciously take a moment for each other.

The new Boutique in Rotterdam was the perfect setting for this cosy afternoon. A beautiful way to celebrate Mother’s Day together a little earlier, while also taking a moment to appreciate the people who are always there for us.

Team activities

At My Jewellery, hard work and having fun go hand in hand. That’s why every team gets the opportunity each year to organise their own team outing or activity. A moment to do something fun together, get to know each other better and create memories outside of work.

From creative workshops to theme park adventures

And these team outings? They’re anything but standard. Some teams went sailing on the My Jewellery boat, played mini golf or visited a theme park or carnival museum together. Other colleagues chose creative workshops in the My Jewellery Atelier, an escape room at the Headquarters or a cosy pasta night in our own Bistro.

It’s exactly that variety that makes every outing unique. It’s not just about relaxing, but mainly about connection, energy and having fun together with colleagues.

 

More than just fun

These outings help colleagues get to know each other in a different way and strengthen collaboration within teams. Because the better you know each other, the better you work together. And just as important: there’s always a lot of laughter involved.

Workation

At My Jewellery, we believe in the power of a workation and love thinking along with the personal needs of our colleagues. Our colleague Britt is currently enjoying two weeks in Spain! A great way to combine work with personal wishes and flexibility.

Working from a different environment

During her workation, Britt worked in the sunshine during the day while enjoying the surroundings in her free time. According to her, the change of scenery not only brought relaxation, but also new energy and creativity.

“For me, it’s truly an amazing opportunity. If you have a place where you can work comfortably, with good internet and of course a little sunshine, I would definitely recommend it to everyone. A different environment can bring more creativity, productivity and even relaxation. It definitely works for me!

And honestly… a pan of paella with a glass of sangria in the weekend doesn’t sound too bad either.”

 

Room for flexibility

We think it’s important that colleagues have the freedom to work in a way that suits them. Because when work and personal needs are well balanced, it often creates even more energy, motivation and enjoyment at work.

International Men’s Day

Today, we put the men at My Jewellery in the spotlight during International Men’s Day. A great moment to reflect on the contribution of our male colleagues to our organisation and the energy they bring every single day.

A small surprise at the office

To celebrate the day, we organised a “Build Your Own Hotdog” station in the Bistro at our Headquarters. Colleagues enjoyed a tasty lunch together, caught up with each other and took a moment to celebrate this special day. Because sometimes appreciation is found in the little things.

At My Jewellery, we believe it’s important that colleagues not only grow in their careers, but also feel good physically and mentally. That’s why we organise a bootcamp training twice a week, where colleagues can work out together under the guidance of a personal trainer.

Working out at your own level

Whether you’re already a fitness enthusiast or just getting started: everyone is welcome to join. During summer, we train outdoors in the fresh air, while in winter we move the sessions indoors. The trainings are not just about exercise, but mainly about energy, fun and motivating each other.

The bootcamps also create a completely different kind of team bonding. Colleagues from different teams get to know each other in a new way and encourage one another to push just that little bit further.

 

A healthy and energetic workplace

We believe health and work happiness go hand in hand. That’s why we consciously invest in initiatives that contribute to an energetic, positive and healthy work environment. Because when colleagues feel good, we all grow together.

At My Jewellery, it’s not just our teams and Boutiques that continue to grow, but also the families of our colleagues. That’s why we believe it’s important to focus not only on work, but also on the meaningful moments outside of it.

An afternoon full of fun

Every year, we invite the children of our colleagues to the office to celebrate Sinterklaas together. A festive afternoon filled with presents, pepernoten and of course a visit from Sinterklaas himself. For many colleagues and children alike, it’s a moment they look forward to every single year.

The celebration is all about fun, connection and creating beautiful memories together. A chance to step away from the daily routine and take extra time for each other and our families.

Job interviews in Belgium

My Jewellery is growing fast, also beyond the borders of the Netherlands. That’s why our Recruiter and Belgium Area Manager recently spent the day interviewing candidates for several new Boutiques in Belgium. A day full of enthusiastic candidates, inspiring conversations and lots of energy.

Looking for new teams

During the interviews, it wasn’t just about experience, but especially about personality, ambition and the connection with our culture. At My Jewellery, we believe a strong team starts with people who get energy from working together, making customers happy and growing as a team.

And of course, we learned something ourselves too. Our colleagues even got a spontaneous mini Flemish language lesson during the interviews. Because in Belgium, you don’t ask someone if they’d like to “have a seat,” you simply say: “zet u!”

 

Continuing to grow in Belgium

With every new Boutique, we continue building our international growth and strong teams that create something special together. We can’t wait to open even more Boutiques, welcome new colleagues and make even more My Jewellery fans in Belgium happy.

The annual recordings of our My Jewellery Christmas video are a highlight every single year. Colleagues from our Boutiques, My Warehouse and Headquarters came together to bring the magic of the holiday season to life. And that created lots of fun, creativity and, most of all, plenty of laughter.

A behind-the-scenes look

Between the cameras, Christmas decorations and holiday music, the best moments naturally came to life. That mix of teamwork, enthusiasm and humour is exactly what makes these recordings so special every year.

This year’s theme? All You Need is My Jewellery! A festive video in which not only our products take centre stage, but especially the energy and connection between our colleagues.

Golden Weekend at My Jewellery

DECEMBER 2, 2024

Golden Weekend is one of the busiest and most fun moments of the year at My Jewellery. Our teams work at full speed to keep everything running smoothly. From My Warehouse to the Headquarters and all of our Boutiques: everyone worked incredibly hard.

Full of energy during peak season

We know how hard our colleagues work during these hectic days. That’s why we make sure it’s not only a productive weekend, but also a celebratory one.

At My Warehouse, a DJ and a fries food truck brought extra energy to the shifts. In between picking and packing orders, colleagues could enjoy fresh fries, music and a fun atmosphere on the work floor.

At the Headquarters, the day started with a festive breakfast together.

And in the Boutiques, treats were waiting for both colleagues and customers, making the festive atmosphere noticeable everywhere.

New Year’s breakfast

JANUARY 2, 2025

To kick off 2025 the right way, we organised a cosy New Year’s breakfast for all colleagues at My Warehouse. A relaxed moment to come together, catch up after the holidays and look ahead to everything the new year will bring.

An energetic start to the year

With fresh sandwiches, juices and good coffee, colleagues started the morning together around long tables in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A moment to ease into the day, laugh with colleagues and toast to a new year full of opportunities, growth and memorable moments.

After a busy peak season, it was especially nice to see each other again and start the year feeling positive and energised. Because those moments of connection truly make the difference in the workplace.

At My Jewellery, we believe success starts with a strong team. That’s why we find it important not only to work hard together, but also to consciously take time to celebrate milestones and shared successes.
